Are Corrosion of Conformity worth seeing live? I'd see them based on reputation, but I haven't followed their output for some time.

I really don't care for Clutch, but I'll give them a pass since their lead singer is the brother of Mary-Alice from Food Network's late 'Ace of Cakes'. Man, I miss having that ragtag group of pastry decorators in my living room every week. :(

COC are back to their original 3 piece from the 80's - and I think o nly play stuff from that era live. Unfortunately I missed their lastest show in the UK. I heard it was great though.

It's not the "original" I don't think, but I could be wrong. And, they're not back to that line up; the current line up still exists, but this older line up is playing and doing some new material while Pepper does Down and has had a kid. Regardless, live, it's not as good as the current line up from what I've heard.

I saw COC open for Megadeth in 94 or 95 and granted that was about 15 years ago but they were great live.

Ah, well their recent tour here was promoted as the original three piece line up.

I hear Pepper is playing guitar for the one-off Jello Biafra & The New Orleans Raunch & Soul Allstars show in May.

Actually their own website states it's the original classic 3 piece line up. www.coc.com

I thought there was a line up before this one, but this is considered the "classic" due to it being the Animosity line up. Regardless, not really interested; have heard they don't sound particularly good live, and the new songs done as COC3 weren't very good. I'll wait for Pepper to come back.

Animosity was the first coc album 1985.... Pepper is not original he joined on the blind album! Mike dean, reed mullan, and woody that is the original COC!

funny, that's the same reason i gave clutch a pass even though they are horribly boring live. i've seen them twice and both times i pretty much had to find other things to keep me busy while they were playing (mostly wandering around and drinking)
