Avenged Sevenfold headlining Rock Star Energy Drink Uproar Festival

Rock Star Energy Drink Uproar Festival will be headlined by Avenged Sevenfold this year. The festival, which replaces Taste of Chaos, is set to tour from August 26th till October 15th. It will also include Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine and Escape the Fate on the main stage. A second stage will include Sevendust, Black Tide, Art of Dying, The Black Cloud Collective and more.

Tour dates are set to be announced soon.

I'm not going to lie, though: I'm not one for energy drinks, but that Rockstar is one tasty beverage. It's no Moxie, but then again, what is?

rockstar is hands down the BEST energy drink. (imo) it's the only one that doesn't taste like cough syrup...

The fruit punch one actually tastes really good. I like the odd taste of the original type as well.

There's fruit punch Rockstar? Huh. I'll have to give that a try. Outside of Rockstar Cola (which is awful, though Red Bull Cola is decent), I didn't realize there were flavor varieties outside of "Zero Carb" and "Sugar-Free".

i went to the first rockstar mayhem tour and i saw the roadies and band members drinking rockstar water. i managed to steal one and it was what it sounds like. water in a can with rockstar on the side...

sometimes, i honestly feel like i'm the only person who doesn't like energy drinks. i don't understand why people place giant Monster stickers on the windows of their cars or wear Rockstar t-shirts. it makes NO sense to me.

Brand loyalty and an expression of personal taste. It's no different than wearing a band shirt, really.

I myself own a Moxie shirt, although I dabble in soda culture considerably more than the average person.

i'm not sure how it is in the rest of the country, but from where we live (southern california) i see energy drink logos on everything/everyone. i understand brand loyalty, but just not on this level.

i'm going to make and place a Hansen's Strawberry Kiwi stickers on my car.

It may have something to do with sports. I grew up in the Inland Empire where Monster-sponsored motocross is aplenty, and I can't tell you how many Monster stickers and logos I've seen....I have to assume that people get hold of those products through an involvement with sports, like giveaways or something. Where else? Any obscure soda apparel *I* own came straight from eBay.

i totally see this. it's definitely popular on the "lifted truck" groups down here among LA, Riverside and Orange Counties. I don't go to many sporting events but Red Bull was handing out cases of the stuff for free at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington two years ago. It was like 102 degrees and people were walking around chugging the stuff. I don't live the healthiest lifestyle, but watching that just seemed grotesque. I can see how people adopt the brand for the logo's sake, like "livin the life of a ROCKSTAR bro!" or "i'm a UFC fightin' MONSTER" or whatever, but i just cant see the appeal beyond drinks that disgusting. it's just eerily reminiscent of SLURM but then again, my opinion.

I only buy them when I either don't feel like coffee or don't have a full-enough stomach to take better -- and healthier -- stimulants in pill form.

However I think most people buy them because of brand perception bolstered by shitty music like this; either that or because they're underage but still want to join the crowd in dumping mind-altering canned poison into their bodies.

Ohh my goodness. I am so tired of Seeing the same bands on these festivals. I have a feeling they will be making a stop in my city, making this the 3rd or 4th time I am seeing Avenged Sevenfold (My girlfriend loves them). The only band I am looking forward to seeing would be Black Tide considering they are some great young talent, but I know nothing about them now. I guess they put out a new album? Tours gonna suck, Im gonna have to go and spend my money on the same crap again. Unfortunate :/

black tide was pretty sweet with their first album being like a throw back to eightes thrash and not to mention the level of talent, they were like only 16 or something, now puberty hit them which is good and all but they released 3 singles (one came out today)and its total metalcore garbage
