Two musicians who haven't mattered in 20+ years making shitty music together! It's like someone found a way to irradiate nails and drive them directly into my ears.

Did 5 adult human beings with no mental retardations (as far as I know) all agree that they should not only record this song but let other people hear it??? This seriously is one of the worst things I've ever heard

I guess this isn't a very punk song, nor particularly punk musicians - so I'm not terribly surprised by the reaction. But I think the song is pretty cool. Reed's almost spoken word work on top of some metal riffs is an interesting dynamic, and it's nice to hear unique stuff like this every once in awhile instead of the same old same old.

I took a break from studying to listen to this...I think I just broke my brain. If I fail my mid term tomorrow because of Metallica and Lou Reed and I'm going to be awfully upset. |

I'll let everyone else tackle the music aspect, but I will say that I had first misread the news blurb as saying "The first song from the projected surfaced via 'The View'" and I had images of James Hetfield having an awkward conversation with Joy Behar.
