Jonny Craig of Dance Gavin Dance jailed

According to the booking report from Salono County, California's Sheriff's Office, Dance Gavin Dance frontman Jonny Craig has been jailed for several charges including felony narcotics possession.

The news comes just days after the band declared cancelled their tour and went on hiatus with the statement:

We regret to inform everyone that due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been forced to cancel our upcoming tour. We apologize to everyone that bought tickets and was looking forward to coming out and seeing us and the rest of the bands. [Dance Gavin Dance] is on hiatus until Jonny can get his life together. Tour is not the environment for that. That is all.

The Rise Records band most recently issued Downtown Battle Mountain II.

As an attorney, I appreciate all of your input, but this is inane bullshit. Any compassionate legal advocate would work toward ending the policies of the failed war on drugs. If not for all of the damage it's caused individual human beings, fight for the damage done to the entire American criminal justice system.

Blaming the addict, when medical science has confirmed that addiction is based in genetics, is disgraceful. You should be ashamed of yourself.

That's a somewhat mendacious claim. Almighty science can't impose itself into ethical decisions. It's helpful to keep both in mind. Do people have genetic dispositions to self-destructive, addictive behaviors? Perhaps? Does a person's background play into what outlets those behaviors manifest in? Perhaps? Science doesn't "prove" your statement unfortunately.

hahaha! that kinda sums up the whole decline of this emo/screamo/metalcore thing! back in the beginning of 2000 this shit was super popular and all those wannaberockstars started those metalcore bands with stupid names and chest tattoos. Now this shit isnt popular anymore, but they still have their drug addictions they need to feed.

I think that is a horrible story... The fact that he scammed his fans, its just awful...

I googled this guy and listened to a few Dance Gavin Dance songs. They're pretty bad but not nearly as bad as his wiki page:
Craig has performed live covers of the songs "Cry Me a River" by Justin Timberlake, "Fuck You" by Cee Lo Green, and "Never Gonna Be Alone" by Nickelback.

I think I hate every single aspect of this man.
