Don Giovanni Records Signs Waxahatchee, New Album Announced

Don Giovanni Records has signed Waxahatchee, Katie Crutchfield from P.S. Eliot's acoustic solo project. Her debut record, American Weekend, will be out January 10th. You find more info on the label's blog post here. The label has posted a music video for the first song

Saw PS Eliot at Fest, one of the best sets, easily.

Bummed I miss the RVIVR/PSE show at Wayward Sunday night, but I was too busy sleeping on the floor at the after party.

A few months ago this album was free for download/donation. I tried to donate but the link was broken. Good for her finding somebody to put it out properly - there are some great songs on it. Hope to hear a "new" record in the future.

It's troubling because if you follow the pattern so far I dont know how she's going to put out two records and then break up a solo project. Like cut herself in half? Would be psyched if Don Giovani reissued that Ackley's record, though.
