Desaparecidos reunite for MaHa Music Festival

Desaparecidos have announced that they will once again be reuniting this summer. The band, featuring Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes, only put out 2002's Read Music / Speak Spanish and broke up the following year. They reappeared in 2010, for The Concert for Equality in Omaha.

They have launched a new website and will be performing at MaHa Music Festival on August 11, 2012 in Omaha, NE. You can purchase tickets for MaHa here.

Spinning Fevers and Mirrors as I read this. I mean, I understand why people wouldn't be able to stand Conor...his voice is as whiny as they come, but I'm super stoked about this as I would be for anything Conor-related.

They played a secret show last night in Omaha at the Slowdown and included 2 new songs in the set. So, it looks like a new album is in the works. Google "Rock Candy Omaha" for a review. I would post the link, but my work restricts access to blogspot for some reason.
