Videos: The Gaslight Anthem: “45”

The Gaslight Anthem have unveiled the video for their song "45." The song, recently released as a single, will appear on the band's upcoming major-label debut, Handwritten. The album is due out July 24, 2012.

Although I sorta enjoyed parts of American Slang and the direction that album went, I'm glad to see that this is more of a return to form for them. If the rest of the album is more like this and less like American Slang, I could see it being in my top 10 for the year.

Its okay. Everytime gaslight releases an album,I'm real weary at first. I'm hesitant to like it then it grows on me.I'm sure this single will grow on me as well.

Fallon's vocals sound real solid, he's finally finding his range. All that time around Chuck Ragan must rub off on a guy. Even the beard. Wasn't as excited about this until I found myself going through alot of the same shit in life.

as amazing as HC are (were?), there are some gaslight tunes where three guitars just sounds excessive. other times it sounds awesome. Apparently Brian's got a 12 string for the new album and there are keyboards/organ too. if that's the case Ian's probably either gonna be holding down the rhythm guitar while Brian's being all jangly and shit on a rickenbacker or play lead if Alex R plays keys. and here's hoping he can do backup vox, coz the other lads aren't particularly gifted in that department.

Asbury park is cool and all, but come on Mr. Fallon! Show your roots! Hackettstown and Stanhope would die for some representation! However, this song rules, I didn't care for American Slang too much so I'm thrilled this is back to old form.
