Mint Records CMJ showcaseMint Records has announced the lineup for their CMJ Music Marathon showcase. The Vancouver label will hold the event this coming Thursday, November 2nd at Union Hall in Brooklyn. Maow was a three piece from Vancouver's east side that featured guitarist / vocalist Tobey Black, bassist / vocalist C.C. Hammond and drummer / vocalist Neko Case. The band released their pop-punk debut The Unforgiving Sounds of Maow in 1996 and was considered part of local the twee pop scene lead by Cub.
Neko Case went on to a successful alt-country solo career and became a member of Vancouver supergroup the New Pornographers.
