Relient K was formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio and took its name from guitarist Matt Hoopes' Plymouth Reliant car. The band includes vocalist Matt Thiessen, guitarists Matt Hoopes and Jonathan Schneck, bassist John Warne and drummer David Douglas.
