I totally got suckered into buying this CD because it came with this sticker that read something like "If you like taking back sunday, poison the well, thursday, and from autumn to ashes then this release is from you!" I love Thursday and PTW so why not? They wouldn't TOTALLY lie would they? The answer is yes. Yes they would. Okay first off martyr a.d. doesnt suck.Second, this song blows dick....emo screamo and shit isnt all bad...just quit whining about your fuckin bitch that left ya IN EVERY FUCKIN SONG! and im tired of seeing derek hess's artwork on every new cd.hes a good artist and all but dammit people come on.....there is nothin about this band that shows it has its own flavor......i could take a shit and it would be more creative. Blah blah blah blah blah blah, thats all I'm hearing from all you people! Its another EMO band, blah blah blah blah! listen here all of you jealous losers. this band kicks ass and will for longer than your opinion will ever count. just listen and enjoy. holy jesus just heard two mp3s by them they blew me away. HAHA just kidding folks. this band sucks shit. there should be a negative score for this album. seriously all, this review is right on. avoid at all costs. you are dumb... your review sucks i think... beacause you havent reviewed the music you idiot..even if it sounds like other bands its still good music.. It looks like Derek Hess spent about 20 seconds on this album's cover...I'm not getting the flabby butt cheeks...is that meant to be emo? taking back sunday is still on victory I don't get this, as an reviewer you have to analysize the music, and make an opinion out of that. You know, okay this band sounds like thousand others, but their music is still good though. They have som great melodic tones, the two vocalist fit each other well.. etc. does victory have to put a drawing by the same guy on all their records? shit's gettin old. how about the anger of living in a soulless capitalistic society with no intentions of protecting individual freedoms... and whose main adgenda is to herd your opinion in with the flock? or to sell you something. dont forget about commerce. Another shitty band to add to the dime a dozen emo/screamo bands. I doubt this shit has much hold in England though...but will most likely be eaten up in the US...damn I hate America. Why is it in England great bands like 80's matchbox b-line disaster and amen are huge and in the US they are relatively unknown? Because the majority of the little bitches here are still living off their mommies and daddies and can't come up with any REAL anger or anything better to bitch about than a girl dumping them. Please, die now. Can't America's labels sign any of Britain's good bands? this is the sound of the barrel of screamo bands popping off. i love you forty, for you are the only other good hardcore kid on this site, but jamey still has credit, everyone has pretty much stopped holding it against him that slipknot fans like his band. I knew this would suck from the moment I saw the banner ad. man, this cover makes me think of the editorial responses to the feature punk planet did on emo and misogyny aren't the hurt process on Golf Records? Well in the UK they are To the person who mentioned Million Dead below, you rule, because they rule. Well I really haven't been following the poltics behind Victory's actions. All I know is that they released 2 of my all-time favourite records, the last 2 Grade albums, as well as other discs that I have spent much time enjoying, from bands like Catch 22, Snapcase, and River City Rebels. So yeah, for that I call them a "decent punk rock label", though I will admit my ignorance to factors beyond the music. Re: Victory and name-dropping stickers on albums. Spitalfield's LP claims "Like Jimmy Eat World, The Promise Ring and Foo Fighters? Say hello to your new favourite band!". What the heck was that? terrible band name and some of the most derivative album art i've ever seen Instead of reviewing a rock band from the UK everyone already knows is shitty, why not review something great like Biffy Clyro, Million Dead, or Jetplane Landing? That's the worst band name I've heard in a while. The Martyr AD album IS awesome. "decent punk rock label" Victory Records is by no means a "good punk rock label". They have a long history of being liars, cheats, and money laundering assholes. This does not speak to the bands on the label but the label itself. Any comments trying to boost the label's integrity and ethical value are null and void due to this fact, and probably written by the label's owner who is a complete and utter shyster. If anyone has any issues to the contrary, perhaps you should think about why Taking Back Sunday devised a way out of their contract, why Thursday posted a rather lengthy letter on their website – when they left the label – about the shifty business practices at the Victory camp and why Hatebreed loathes the label’s owner as much as they do. you forgot to mention that the new martyr ad album will be awesome This band is actually worse than Silverstein. Holy fuck. Typ-os beware. To a commentor below, if I may... Is it just me or is there a drooping ass on the cover? E.M.O. another lame emo shithead band I second that motion "thats cool and all, im glad you thought it sucked. thanks to that, i wont check the band out. however, wasnt this the site that was running an advertisement for them?" wow, i just listened to that mp3. It really does suck. It actually sucked more than i expected. i was like, didnt taking back sunday, northstar, silverstein and all those other bands have that same sticker? This Piece??? More like This Piece of Shit. this sucks yea i figured this would be silverstein part two or something. it comes complete with a sticker on the cover that says like 'if you like thursday, poison the well and saves the day, get this"...i was like, didnt taking back sunday, northstar, silverstein and all those other bands have that same sticker? You're starting to sound like me. the hurt process was the name of the first Boxer album. It was the first band Vagrant ever signed. thats cool and all, im glad you thought it sucked. thanks to that, i wont check the band out. however, wasnt this the site that was running an advertisement for them? I love when Scott rips bands. Especially The Higher. they stole the title of this album from an outsmarting simon song |
