I arrived at the Bottom Lounge to one of the most pleasant surprises in my lengthy concert-going life. For months it had just been Sparta and Brazil on the posters and such for the show, and by the time the day of the show rolled around I assumed it was just them two, a more than awesome enough line-up. It turns out that they had managed to book Chicago's own The Ghost at the last minute, adding icing on an already tasty cake of a show.

Sara(no h) touch my penis please! LOL @ the border hopper comment. Funny shit. leard how to spell "border", you racist fuck If you like Pearl Jam you should kill yourself because you're a fucking idiot pearl jam's live show fucking destroy's almost any band that is discussed on this website. don't get them confused with creed, because pj is a fucking awesome band. "Why the hell would people pay, travel, and take up attendance for a packed (probably sold out) show to see a band they just had to heckle? this score is 1/2 for them (minus 1/2 star)." Sparta is good. Also the singer is cute. Never heard anything by the other bands ok guys what's better....peanuts, m&m's, or peanut m&m's. discuss. Unexpected does not mean good. I was at this show, and it was damn good. And I'm a huge Ghost fan, so it was a really nice surprise to see them put on the bill last minute. All the bands put on great sets, thumbs up for all for all of them. how dare you put down pearl jam now now cedric, take it easy... ok, you all are really gonna have to realize that sparta is a pretty mediocre band. they're playing it safe, while the mars volta is out there doing shit that nobody would ever expect from them. and they're doing it way better. "The Mars Volta make At The Drive-In look like Sparta". what the fuck is that supposed to mean, at the drive-in was clearly superior to both. "who would go to our concert just to boo us?"-Lisa Simpson I'd take Sparta anyday over the Mars Volta Crackheads. i saw sparta and brazil at cbgbs in nyc, what an awsome show.. and yes brazils new album is awsome. SPARTA MAKES AT THE DRIVE IN LOOK LIKE MARS VOLTA!!! the show was awesome! good good review. the ghost are amazing, sparta rocks and everyone sells them short and ive only heard good things about brazils new album, im jealous... I saw this show in Detroit, and the Shelter holds only 200 people. It was awesome. Sparta is a great band, and their new songs were definitely on par with material they already have. It was a terrific show. ahah, his name is newby. i'm really jealous of anyone who gets to see this band in a small venue any time soon. the only time i saw them live was at a 400 person venue right after the austere ep came out. even though i wasn't familiar with the songs at the time, i rank that as one of the better shows i've witnessed. fucking boarder hoppers think they can be all creative..fuck that.. fuck sparta they fucking suck dick scores for all three latino-texas bands that changed the face of music more than you all's faggoty brand new. |
