Published on July 9th 2001 This was a pretty highly anticipated release, if you're a NOFX fan I mean. If you were expecting a full album with quality tracks, then you probabaly didn't like this little vinyl. I, however, was a big fan of "Fuck the Kids" (a similar 'lets stick as many tracks as we can onto a 7"')... so I was looking forward to it. The day it came out, I ordered a vinyl copy from Fat's website. Of only 200 blue vinyl copies printed out, I got one. I love rare stuff. Good times. Anyway, let's get onto the album. They opened up with the sloppy (well, every song was sloppy - which adds to the magic) song "Fun Things to Fuck". This is a very hilarious song, which Fat Mike wrote in under 10 minutes -- which is the case for every song on the EP -- and contains lyrics like "fuck the fans of blink 182 / that's illegal if you're born in '83..." Like with Fuck the Kids, a couple of these songs might get remastered and turned into an actual song on another album. On Fuck the Kids, that was the case with a few songs... like "I'm Telling Tim" and "Stranger than Fishin'". With this album, "3 on Speed" and "Totally Fucked" and "3 Shits to the Wind" all have potential to grow up and become quality songs. For now though, you can just enjoy their sloppy brilliance.
Other funnies come in songs like "Whoa on the Whoas" with the hilarious line "Between AFI and the Offspring / I don't think we need anyone else to sing / Anymore whoaaaas...." - and as a huge fan of both those bands, I can laugh at that. This whole album is horrible, which is why it's so fun. While you may not appreciate it unless you're a fan of their stupid humor, you have to admit its an interesting idea. 14 songs on one 7" in about 11 minutes. NOFX may be old, but they're still going strong with creative ideas like this one.

Forgettable NOFX album, but still a NOFX album. NOFX sound, NOFX score. 7/10. "Bad Religion even laughed at this..and then said a bunch of big words after i didnt understand" not one of their best records. and the cover art isn't clever or creative. it's stupid... This band is an over-rated shit wagon. They need to be put in a sack, burned alive, and left on the doorstep of some old man so he could stomp them out. Thats how bad they suck. no fucking bad religion? that's retarded, how about No Fucking Religion, i think that would actually be a pretty good name. great album though, three on speed is still the best. Bad, sloppy and the recording sucks, BUT IT ROCKS, IT ROCKS HARD! And it's cheap... I like it... Bad Religion is so fucking boss, and so is nofx. if only the two were to joun forces and become No Fucking Bad Religion. Sorry. In case you didn't know, I still am new to punk, so I don't have all the CD's of the early punk bands. I'm hunting them down in local stores. good god man! the cover is a play on bad religion's suffer cover! even my mom could figure that out. jesus h christ! at first i thought you were just an ass, but now i see how truly ignorant you really are. i now feel pity for you my friend. pleas, before you buy anything else, get "Suffer" by BR. it will make you a stronger person.- fathead Great record, but I don't see what's quite so funny about the cover art. Nofx has had much better ones than that. The Fat Wreck comp's even have better covers. You can't really blame them for making a not so great album, it is good, but it's just a joke album, not serious. They didn't even try. So don't complain if you think it sucks. FatMike Is The God of Punk!!! What say more. His song are so fucking hilarous but I gave 8 cause the song are just about one minute long...that's wierd and I still prefer old Nofx style like punk in drubic and white trash whit descend lyric. Mrs Burkett we're waiting for the next Nofx show in Quebec how bout the kids who just got in to punk? is anyone really new to nofx, i mean i know people who attend 10 phish shows a year, yet they still know who nofx is. Ya this album was just Raw...Being a huge NOFX fan, i enjoyed it but for those of you who are new to NOFX, id recommend you start with something more polished like Punk in Drublic This album hets a 9 for cover art alone. |
