Videos: Rise Against: "The Good Left Undone"

Rise Against has posted their new video for "The Good Left Undone" via MTV2. The song appears on the popular Chicago punk act's latest record The Sufferer & the Witness. Of course, since MTV2's website probably won't work unless it's a full moon and you're positioned on the proper lay lines, we've posted the YouTube version for you below.

The band will be on the road all summer with bands like Silverstein and Comeback Kid. A new record is also in the works.

Most albums like that have the standard "catchier than usual song that is used to attract new fans" and for that type of song, I don't think it's that bad.

I can never really pick between Sufferer and Siren Song. Mainly because Sufferer has a full album full of average songs that lack passion or aggression where as Siren Song has 3 or 4 really good songs (to them these streets belong, give it all, state of the union) and a good amount of crap songs. Either way I still love this band.

excellent band who have unfortunately gotten worse live since their later release. when i saw them open up for Bad Religion, awesome. When they opened up for Alk3, unbelievable. When they played warped just before the new cd came out, really really good. The two times i've seen them since the new cd came out, mediocre.

The new evergreen terrace cd is AWESOME for those who care. Give it a chance even if you don't like their last cd. It's much less chugga metal and much more fast hardcore.

the funny part is that all of the anonymous shit talkers have probably never been in a band. between peta and even just the concept for the first single off their latest record, this band has done more good than any other mainstream band that i can think of off the top of my head. despite becoming enormously popular, it's blatantly obvious they haven't compromised any of their integrity. it's also funny that you kids who are talking shit are talking shit to a band that has collectively sold a million records..i don't think they're too concerned with what anonymous kids on a message board have to say when they are selling out venues and selling a ton of fucking records. also, does anyone else think the unraveling is mediocre at best? i think it's good for what it is, but compared to revolutions, it's weak. i think you kids should give the last two records a try too...both very

I can say, without a doubt, this thread has highlighted why I despise the term "haters". Guh, so ridiculous.
I understand why people dislike Rise Against, they have changed. Some of their songs are pretty good, some not so much. But honestly, you could tell between The unraveling and RPM that they were a band who would change on every album. Now, I get if you don't like the direction they're headed but just let it go. They've never really deviated in terms of overall style and message, they've just evolved.

Maybe they haven't evolved. Maybe just maybe, every record sounds different because there is a different lead guitarist on every record. I am a fan of this band, however I really loved the angst & emotion of the Unravelling and the subsequent records have sort of lost that feeling to me. I'll always pick up each release from them but they fell off my favorite band list a few years back.

This band is honestly getting really huge.

I saw them last night, they were ace (opening acts are a different story... I love Only Crime on disc, but they were bore-core, Comeback Kid was good, minus all the bros in the pit, and Silverstein, though tight live, are so cliche and hard to swallow...) but the crowd had A LOT of little 12 year olds... it was kind of annoying. Plus, they still aren't playing much from RPM, none from Unraveling, less from Siren, and their Sufferer selection is poor. They didn't even play Injection.

Anyway, I see this band only getting bigger. Good video, first one that is actually visually appealing, minus maybe the Swing video.

Nothing from Unraveling. Only RPM stuff was Heaven Knows, Like the Angel, and Black Masks.

They covered a Jawbreaker song (just Tim acoustic) and did Minor Threat.

The rest was some Siren Song and most of Sufferer (I think everything from Sufferer except Injection, Roadside, Approaching Curve, and Worth Dying For)

There was some Top-40-sounding commercial slop on "Siren Song" but this album takes it all the way. Chamber that Cartridge is like a swan song to their old fans and their old sound. What I don't get is ho a band could go from decent hardcore/punk music, and clearly be aware of how bad radio Nu-Metal is, and then ultimately reshape your band into what you were rocking against, or should I say rising against?

i know you won't read this. hell, one of your most kickass songs "to the core" is about not caring about shit posted places like this. siren song and revolutions were my first punk albums. they introduced me to a whole new section of music i never would have dreamed about. i got into amazing bands like boysetsfire, None more black, strike anywhere and such, as well as great bands which influenced you, like pennywise, minor threat, refused, etc. when i picked up sufferer it had some great songs, but only a few. now i can hardly listen to it. and this video makes me want to throw up. the very band that helped get me into better music starts making the crap i ran from. but i'm holding out hope. bad religion signed back to an indie and started making great music again. since you obviously like them, do the same. if you do it sometime this mont
