Bomb The Music Industry has set up a long list of upcoming projects for your perusal. The projects number seven and include splits, DVDs, singles, covers and some new bands. You can get the whole list by clicking Read More. It includes a split 7" with Mustard Plug, a single for the Art of the Underground Single Series, a seven inch inspired by NOFX's Fuck The Kids approach, a DVD split with Shinobu, a split with Andrew Jackson Jihad, some Regina Spektor covers and a new band or two including Sheena from Lemuria.
1. Split 7" with MUSTARD PLUG filled with covers! Well, not filled filled. Pretty much just one cover per band. Actually 100% just one cover per band. I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about what song Mustard Plug is doing, so Rick if you see this, just leave a comment. I'm pretty sure we're gonna cover "Gold Soundz" by Pavement, but who knows what the hell we're actually gonna do. Or when! Just kidding u guyz! we're gonna make the deadline!!! 2. A single series for ART OF THE UNDERGROUND I mean, Alex asked if we wanted to do one before we went on this last tour together, so who knows if that offer is still on the table. The songs have not been written yet, but they will undoubtedly be called Pog and Pogs. 3. A 7" with a whole lot of songs on it. Whats more fun than limitations right? We're gonna try to cram as many fast and quick ones onto each side and hopefully they won't be bad. They will definitely be loud, like louder than Boris loud and with song titles like "Commutilation" and "Rooftop Pool Party" how can you go wrong? Also we've never heard of NOFX so don't even try it, buddy. 4. A split DVD with Shinobu The more we don't film anything for this, the less I think it's going to happen. It would have been pretty obnoxious too. 5. A split CD with Andrew Jackson Jihad So we were talking about this and I'm pretty sure that at some point next year (hopefully early!!!!!!!!!1!!) Andrew Jackson Jihad are (is?) going to record a bunch of electrical songs and we're going to record a bunch of acoustical songs. All new shit, NO FUCKING AROUND. I heard that Matador is interested in putting it out, and Merge will be handling the 2-disc deluxe edition with a 48-page booklet handwritten by Sean Bonnette while being water tortured sorry Sean. The vinyl will be $25, but won't even be THAT special. It'll just have liner notes, double gatefold and maybe it'll be 180 gram. I guess Merge will handle that. 6. A million Regina Spektor songs I think we're gonna try to tour down to the Fest doing exclusively Regina Spektor songs and also let's try to get some house show going where we can do this and also the house should have a pool at it. And I guess if someone recorded it, I heard Fat Wreck is interested. 7. STARTING TONS OF NEW BANDS Let's do this! By the way, Sheena of Lemuria, John and myself are planning something very special for Brooklyn before the end of the year. Watch out for that shit. Quote Unquote Records (43 comments)

I think everyone at the Fest would buy twelve copies of "Rooftop Pool Party", I also think I was the first one to give Jeff a beer up there, my bad Matt Kurz you were right next to him and I forgot, I owe you one

Honestly, I'd pay well more than $25 for a 12" split between BTMI! and AJJ. 2+ Replies

How about playing YOUR OWN MUSIC. Or start a cover band, that's what you're turning into.

BTMI is the shit. They should have moved to Atlanta instead of Athens, but whatever.

Don't really care about this band, have never listened to anything of theirs, but Pavement was great.

the offspring song "something to believe in" when it got into the chorus part, which they sang "something to believe in" it suspiciously sounds like "sell it to ebay"
