Thursday announce "Common Existence"

Thursday have announced a title and release date for their forthcoming Epitaph debut. The record is titled Common Existence and is due out February 17, 2009. It is the follow-up to Kill the House Lights [CD/DVD] which was released in 2007 as well as their Split [12 inch] with [[Envy]] and their last major label studio album, A City by the Light Divided.

The album was recorded by the six-piece band with producer Dave Friddman at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, NY. Spin has some studio footage here.

you think so? I think that record 'sounds' fine. the band wanted to go in that direction with that record, it wasnt some producer pulling strings.

anyway, this record isn't in that direction, so i guess you can listen and then decide if he 'ruined' a very different record.

thursday releases are never what i expect.
i was so psyched for War All the Time that it was a bit dissapointing.
consequently I stopped caring before City and it turned out to be pretty good.
once i hear that envy split ill decide how i feel about this

Don't listen to the thursday split. Please, please don't. There's one good song, one instrumental off Kill the House Lights, one sucky instrumental, and one song where Geoff tries to sing. Envy sounds like mediocre envy. Not worth any money, probably not worth downloading.
