by shrapnel on 2009-01-10 14:28:36 they should have left this one to Britney, because I'd rather watch 1 former hot chick perform this, instead of 3 ugly chicks

creative arrangements, but still really lame
Re: All-American Rejects: "Womanizer (Britney Spears)"
by tonyhoag on 2009-01-10 15:11:24 I am by no means familiar with the original, but I like this version. This totally should have been a song recorded in a dingy practice space with one camera, though. It doesn't need to look like a proper music video....

Re: All-American Rejects: "Womanizer (Britney Spears)"
by kencollapse on 2009-01-10 16:55:20 In all honesty, it shouldn't be reported when bands cover acts like Britney Spears because it's such a cheap gimmick to gain publicity. I wouldn't humour them. I don't think bands even try to pass it off as 'irony' anymore do they?

I would assume this is an attempt to make fun of Britney Spears and her "music". Funny thing is come Grammy time, both will be in the same category for pop album of the year.

I know this is the AAR and have reason for being dissed on here and there, but this take was really pretty amazing. They cleverly used odd instruments and the song sounded good. I have never heard the Britney song before and I won't be searching it out but give this band some credit for doing a cover outside of the box and making it sound good.
