Frank Turner opening for The Offspring on selected dates

Frank Turner, solo artist formerly of Million Dead, has been tapped to open shows on The Offspring's upcoming North American tour.

Turner will be playing first, before the Dropkick Murphys, Pennywise and Sum 41 on shows from June 30th through July 18th. The tour dates are here.

Frank released Love, Ire and Song in 2008.

When the 90's ended I didn't really feel it but now the 00's are ending it kindof feels like the end of the 90's and the 00's.

As long as certain 90's things stay dead (bucket hats, Oakley sunglasses, nu-metal, too-much-gel hairstyles), I'm ok with it. But I agree that late 90's through 00's seemed like one long era instead of 2 distinct decades.

Awesome.

I also think that with each passing decade society as a whole becomes a little more aware. Like things from the 80's people weren't conscious enough to realize they should be mocking them, come the 90's there was a little self-deprecation, simpsons, seinfeld, now in the 00's and especially the last 5 years all we do is mock ourselves. I think it's a good thing and sign of progress though.

Damn, So, I really want to get tickets to see The Pharcyde @ The Fillmore, and they are only doing this show so far and nothing else is booked, but the tickets are 35 bucks with a 12 dollar surcharge. It's on a Saturday too... should I go?
