Rancid, Rise Against, Kings of Leon, Lush in Rock Band

The latest batch of additions to Rock Band 2 have been announced. Set for release on July 21st will be three songs each from Rancid, Rise Against and Kings of Leon and one song from Lush. Rancid will feature "Last One to Die" from Let the Dominoes Fall and "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb" from ... And Out Come The Wolves.

Rise Against will release "Prayer of the Refugee" from The Sufferer & the Witness, "Re-Education (Through Labor)" and "Saviour" from Appeal to Reason. Kings of Leon and Lush wrap up the additions.

He's referring to what the welfare state encourages... "mediocrity and slovenliness ". I'm not saying there are not people that really need help, but there are a lot of people that could be trying a lot harder and just love getting a handout.

Shit. They offered me a staff position at work (after working "permalance" for 2 1/2 years). So I could get health benefits (yay!), but also comes with a significant pay decrease (boo!).

were you getting paid 1099 before? if you were, you'll probably end up with a net pay-gain, since you wont have to pay taxes and whatnot the same way.

stability and health insurance are nice too.

I wasn't 1099. I had taxes taken out every week, by an outside entertainment payroll company. I just don't think health insurance and stability (which I pretty much had), are worth $12,000.

How cool is it gonna be when some kid goes up to the guys in Rise Against or Rancid and say "Yeah, your song was the first one I learned how to play in Rock Band.

Weird how Lush is on there... they haven't been a band for ages, and didn't really have too many hit, but I thought the two girls were cute.

I was giving this girl a ride the other day and had the self-titled Rage record playing in my car. She says, "I love this song. This is System of a Down, right?" I say, "Nah, Rage. I love the song too, though. It's a great record." She says, "Yeah, I've played this song a million times on Guitar Hero." I said nothing, but in my brain I said, "fuck that stupid video game."

Haha, oh well. Sometimes I'd really rather have nobody recognize shit that I like than have people recognize it in that way.

I think it depends on the caliber of the news. DLC pack? maybe not. But crap with huge potential should.

You know this game gets a lot of flack on here, but it was games like this that got me into Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and Against Me!
It's also one of the main reasons why I bought a guitar, want to take lessons and start making my own music.
