The lead singer of this band is kind of a douche. I saw them as an opener once (and it was pretty clear no one gave a crap about them), my friend and I were on the barrier awaiting the next band and when my friend wouldn't do some retarded patty-cake clap-along thing with the singer when he jumped down to the barrier, he got all pissed off and shoved my friend into the ground, and when we confronted him about it later he didn't even apologize.

I can forgive and forget if somebody makes crappy music (which, believe me, this band does plenty of), but being a dickhead at a show just doesn't fly with me.

I don't mind if somebody crashes into me or lands on me or whatever, that's cool, physical interaction from the crowd is expected, and hey, it can be fucking fun. What I mind is when the lead singer of a band, annoyed that you don't care enough about his shitty band to play patty-cake with him, decides that the answer is to get intentionally violent on you. Here's an idea: maybe if your band wasn't a bunch of walking fucking cliches, maybe people will be waiting in front to play your stupid games with you instead of just waiting for you to get off the stage so that the next band can play. I sure as hell had fun in the front when the Swellers went on after them (especially when Nick was mocking the dickhead's mid-set political rant).

But, to quote the phenomenal words of wisdom of the A.K.A.'s: "Fight! Fuck! Dance! Destroy!"

Well, no matter what the fuck you say - he's the one fronting a band that played with a band you like.

Not you and I'm sure you're the only person who remembers the incident anyways so what does that say about you?

1) You weren't on stage fronting a band
2) You have a grudge for something no one else in the world even noticed

total douch.....when they opened for bouncing souls and D4 in pittsburgh he made and off handed remark about all the fat drunk guys with beards at the show....he grew up close to where i did and he had a band Brothers Keeper and he was a dick back then

hehe, this band is terrible. I made a dick out of the whole band when they opened up for TSOL at CBGB's a few years back. The guy was in the middle about talking about how corporations are influencing the rap scene, or some garbage like that. I waited for the moment when he paused and the club was silent, all of a sudden all you could hear me yelling at them to shut the fuck up and get off of stage.

Witty retort from the singer? "oh.......that's so punk rock" Unfortunately they didn't get off stage, what was better, i think at the end of the set he said "and fuck you to the pro-corporate guy that sieg heiled me." In typical new york city fashion, the crowd started sieg heiling. So I stood outside of their dressing room to have a few words with all five of them, but they wouldn't come out and I sure as hell wasn't getting thrown out for beating the shit out of some emo band to miss TSOL.

Your friend must have been pretty small if he was fucking with him like that, I don't really see the singer being tough enough to face even someone half his size.

Horrible music and generic left-wing politics makes for groundbreaking material.

I can tell that you are full of shit because cbgbs doesnt even have a "dressing room" with a door on it. So where were you waiting for them? There is a room in the back that is open with no door and everyone has to pass by it so get to the bathroom. So I'm sure you just made up this story...it's kind of sad..

Love this band, and have been enjoying this rekkid since it came out. Totally surprised at all the "douche" comments. I've met them several times and they've never been anything but friendly. Hard-working bunch with social consciences that actually give a shit. People that haven't heard them should give them a spin. Fun band.

Really having a hard time believing any of these comments from people calling them douches.
I've known this band (in its various incarnations) for YEARS and they're some of the kindest people I know. Not to mention, socially and politically conscious.

Picked this record up on CD at Warped and I seriously love it.

This is a great band in my opinion. They express their political and social views through their songs, while making fun music at the same time. Great band and they are really energetic live.
