PropertyofZach.com has reported that after a three year hiatus, Phantom Planet announced that they are planning to reunite in 2012 for some shows and have also been considering recording a new EP. The band has created a Twitter account, @phantomreunion and have also posted a video teaser playing "Knowitall' from their 2004 release Phantom Planet during their first rehearsal since 2008.

I liked their second album alright and saw them around that time with Shartzman still playing drums. Was a decent show but I don't think I'd ever care to go see them again, his energy was honestly most of what made them interesting.
