There's a bit of news coming out of the Buzzcocks camp this month. Steve Diggle has recorded new material for a solo album to be released in February `05 on EMI in the UK. His band is in rehearsals for upcoming dates in support of it.

Steve's website also hints at the next Buzzcocks full length

Having pretty much played the whole of 2003 the band have still found time to record new songs for their next album. Steve,of course, has penned several blistering tracks that can be expected of the man who has influenced a thousand guitar sounds. Produced by (Tony) Barber the album will be out in the next few months."

I'm unable to confirm the date of this post, so no word on what "few months" means.

Meanwhile Pete Shelley has been working with Los Angeles band The Adored. They have a self titled EP on the way this October, but aside from that nothing has been announced.
