Recently, Punknews.org (along with several other news sites) have received several news submissions attacking Vagrant Records. These have not been posted. While we do not censor the news we get, we reserve the right to decide what is news, and what is trash. Punkbands.com and Fastmusic have already dealt with this so I felt that I should to clear anything up. After Vagrant's signing of Dashboard Confessional, formally of Drive Thru Records, we started to receive submissions attacking Vagrant. It turns out that all of this negative press has come from a Drive Thru street team member. It was not legitimate news as much as a series of accusations and attacks. If you would like to view Rich Egan's (Vagrant owner) comments on the allegations made against his label, follow this link. At last I checked, street team members are supposed to help promote and expand the scene, not sling mud about signings and deals.
