HorrorPops have lost another member as guitarist Karsten has parted ways with the band to live in Denmark with his girlfriend. He's not the first casualty of the group's decision to move from Europe to the US west coast. The band does have another guitarist lined up, but they've yet to announce who: "Ya'll are gonna be stoked when you find out who it is, but we're not gonna to tell you right away. We're gonna give you a few hints though. As you all know friendship comes before everything in HorrorPops and our new guitarist is a very close friend of ours. If you want to find out more you'll just have to keep looking at the HorrorPops main page and let the surprise be slowly revealed to you".

HorrorPops will be hit the studio soon to record their sophomore full length, due in May of 2005.

F#?king Hell.

Well, it is time again to announce good and bad things in HorrorPops history. But like with the Horror van blowing up causing a near death experience, saving us from the crashing bridge thing, (which happened when we started the Punks vs. Psychos Tour) nothing bad happens in HorrorPops without something good also coming along.

It seems like every time HorrorPops go to Europe, we lose a band member. This time it was Karsten…(damn it!) The pain of this loss is beyond words, but the true story is that last year, Karsten met the love of his life in Denmark… Awww! He and the rest of HorrorPops tried everything we could not to let him go, but in the end, Karsten decided to live in Denmark with his girlfriend.

We all agreed when we started touring the States that America was the best place for HorrorPops to grow, and in order to do so we would all have to move here. Half the band living in Denmark and the other half living in the States would hurt all of us with too many expensive flight tickets and too many show offers turned down because of all of us not being here. This was the reason our original guitarist, Caz the Clash left the band, the same with Mille and now with Karsten.

We wish Karsten all the best and we know he's happier now than he has ever been. Thank you Karsten for the year you spend with HorrorPops!

So now to the good things that come out of the bad:

We have a huge surprise for all of you! As you may know, HorrorPops is about to enter the studio again so that we can get a new album out by May 2005. This of course means that we have to find a new guitarist. And so we have! Ya'll are gonna be stoked when you find out who it is, but we're not gonna to tell you right away. We're gonna give you a few hints though. As you all know friendship comes before everything in HorrorPops and our new guitarist is a very close friend of ours. If you want to find out more you'll just have to keep looking at the HorrorPops main page and let the surprise be slowly revealed to you….HA HA!

We wanna do this thing right (introducing the new lineup) and one of the ways we decided to do that is to have one last show in LA before entering the studio. This show is dedicated to you, our family and the honorary Horrorpop'ers and we think it's a great way to introduce the new lineup - with us getting drunk with you all in the bar after show! What we refer to as the F#?k Yeah! Show is gonna be at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Dec 3'rd. We're making a limited edition t-shirt design just for that show - never to be sold again, so you'd better get your tickets as soon as they go on sale (Nov 4'th) cuz it is gonna sell out quickly. Can't wait to see ya'll there!!!

It seems that with such big news it's almost disrespectful giving an update with what's been going on in HorrorPops since the last news update, but in short here we go:

First of all, it should be said that HorrorPops have played somewhere around 115 shows this year! God damn it, we love touring and can't wait to get back on the road! But we are definitely one of the most lucky and unlucky bands in the world! The Punks vs. Psychos Tour was great and it was huge honor to share the stage with such legends, although we could have done without the van blowing up on us causing cancellations in the beginning of the tour. We also could have done without first Kim getting hospitalized, then Patricia and then Henrik. As a close friend of ours commented, "Some bands have their crew following them in another van. you should have a f#?king medical crew." We knew that we were creating a history of canceling shows and that was why we had Nekro Pete step in playing Kim's part. It was cool to be able to call us self the NekroPops for a while and even though it was difficult continuing the tour with out Kim, Peter filled out his creepers really well and made us all feel that we were doing the right thing. Thanx Pete!

The following tour with Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards and the Briefs, was one big holiday and we got to play Texas a lot, which Patricia enjoyed so much that she is still practicing what she calls the "YeeHaw Language." We've been trying to get her to let go of her cowboy hat, but it's no use…

After the Lars & the Bastards tour, we went to Europe for an extensive tour. We could have done without Naomi's (No-No's) flight having to make an emergency landing due to an engine fire. We could have down without having our bus broken into in York/UK and everything getting stolen - including Kim's wedding ring and all of what Robert (our tourmanager) ever owned. We also could have done without the numerous times we got hit by trucks and other moving objects, and we totally could have done with out Karsten leaving the band. Other than that, (or maybe because of that) we had a typical, crazy, funny HorrorPops tour.

Thanx to all you mean people who kept buying us whisky and Jaegermeister and getting us shitfaced every night! Hope to see you all again soon!
