Beatsteaks have won the MTV Award for Best German Act last Thursday at the yearly MTV Europe Music Awards in Rome. Among the nominees were big names like Rammstein, Die Arzte and Die Toten Hosen.

Two weeks ago the band's latest record SMACKSMASH went gold in Germany (100,000 copies). The video for the song "Hello Joe" is up on Epitaph's band page now.
