Winnipeg-based independent label Smallman Records has signed Regina, Saskatchewan's Ghosts of Modern Man. The band plans to release their newest record City of No Light on March 8th, 2005.

The label describes them as:

Influenced by bands such as PJ Harvey, Hot Snakes, Gang of Four, and Fugazi […] Desperate and exasperated vocals express themes of escapism, self-medication, death, religion and boredom Guitars crash and clang but are also capable of sounding layered and melodic.

The band includes former members of Pillar, Filmmaker and 400 Strong.
