Long running San Francisco based queercore act Tribe 8 is calling it quits. The band posted a statement on their website:

That's right. It's been a great ride, but it's time to move on. We'd like to thank all of you for your love and support over the fifteen years. Don't despair just yet, though--if you never seen us live, or want to for one last time, you can! We're lining up some farewell gigs, the first of which will be on Wednesday, February 16th at the Elbo Room in San Francisco. We're also hoping to do one big everlovin' blowout of a last show, at a swanktastic place like the Carnegie or the Fillmore or even good ol' Michigan. If you can help make that happen, email us.

The show at the Elbo Room will feature Teenage Harlets, OC Toons and Fabulous Disaster. Tribe 8 most recently released Role Models for Amerika in 1998 on Alternative Tentacles.
