No Idea has announced their "Gainesville Comes to Your Town Tour," a seven-band trek to and from SXSW in Austin with stops in New Orleans, Pensacola and back in the label's hometown. The tour will feature Grabass Charlestons, Billy Reese Peters, Rehasher, Strikeforce Diablo, Army Of Ponch, Whiskey & Co and Stressface (with select appearances by J Church, North Lincoln and Glass & Ashes). From the press release:
Seven bands- 24 people- three vans- big ass distro- and a commemorative T-shirt will be leaving the No Idea parking lot on Tuesday March 15th in the dead of night on a trip to make it to Austin and back for the first ever No Idea Records showcase at SXSW. 2040 miles round trip with stops in New Orleans and Pensacola. Can we pull it off? Who will get arrested? Who will get left in Austin? Who will actually get any sleep? Only time will tell. Dates below. Light a candle for us.
