From the website:

The celebration incorporates a no-minors show the first night and the following day; an all-ages all-day show of intertwines independent musical genres with a lineup of approximately 20 North American bands designed to showcase Edmonton?~@~Ys local muscians while promoting unity and comradery for like-minded individuals abroad. This is a show that is as much about the audience as it is about the bands.

We encourage and cater to:

  • Audience participation with reduced stage restrictions
  • A fusion of all forms of musical genres, self expression and art
  • Fundraising for organizations that discourage drunk driving
  • Support awareness to sxe (alcohol and drug free) and vegetarian lifestyles

YWE takes place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at whatever venue is kind enough to host the event. Unfortunately, due to local bylaws there are very few safe venues that can accommodate an all-ages?~@~Y audience of over 500 people. In the grand scheme of things, we endeavor to build such a venue to accommodate the local scene, encourage young musicians to promote their art form thus creating ONE VOICE in a community of great musicianship.
