The Undertones have booked a two week tour of the UK for September. Confirmed dates have been announced now on the band's website. The band is also looking for help from fans in naming the outing and have setup a contest online. From their site:

Apparently though, a tour isn't a real tour unless it's got a name. Many years ago, in December 1980, we had a tour called "See No More" which was some kind of veiled message about us leaving Sire Records, whose boss was Seymour Stein. This is an example of a not very good name for a tour. A good name is one that doesn't have to be explained to the bass player and the drummer. One that is worth waking the lead guitar player up for.

A good name was the 'Humming, Leaping and Minging' Tour of the same year. All three words referred to various stages of personal hygiene that could be detected on the Undertones tour mini-bus at that time. From a hum to a ming via a leap, it got quite dangerous sometimes. "Gas, gas, quick boys, an ecstacy of fumbling…."
