Crucial Washington D.C.-based label Dischord has posted their first update since June's incident involving Minor Threat and Nike. On that subject, according to Dischord, the situation is not completed resolved as "members of Minor Threat continue to work on a creative resolution to this matter and will have more to say when an agreement is finalized."

The Evens, featuring Minor Threat/Fugazi frontman Ian MacKaye and The Warmer's Amy Farina's will be headed to Japan and Europe in September and October respectively. The duo is touring in support of their debut, The Evens released earlier this year. The specific dates are expected shortly.

The label is also working with the original authors, Cynthia Connolly, Leslie Clague and Sharon Cheslow on reprinting Banned in DC: Photos and Anecdotes From The DC Punk Underground (79-85). The book was first released in 1985 and compiles photographs and stories as a means to document the early Washington D.C. punk scene "without imposing bias." The book was successful and has been frequently imitated, however, as the label explains, the evolution of printing presses from analog to digital technology has made the printing more and more expensive and it seems likely this will be the last edition to be printed.
