More info has come in on the forthcoming tribute compilation to the late singer/songwriter Elliott Smith. To: Elliott, From: Portland will be released through Expunged Records on February 7th, 2006. A tentative track listing has been released as well.

The compilation will feature such acts as the Decemberists, the Thermals, Helio Sequence, Swords and more. Of particular note is a rendition of a previously unreleased, Smith-written number entitled "Hard Times," performed on the disc by close friend and former roommate of Smith's, Sean Croghan.

Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Elliott Smith Foundation charity, Free Arts for Abused Children.
