Street Drum Corps, which features Bert McCracken of The Used, Frank Zummo of The Start and others have begun work on a forthcoming full length debut. The band is often described as a "punk rock STOMP", referring to the popular found-percussion-based performers, and released their first official track, a cover of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" on the recent Taste of Christmas compilation.

According to this story, the album will feature predominately found instruments like garbage cans and satellite dishes, chains and propane tanks. The group also plans to enlist of the aid of friends and hopes to garner contributions from DJ Shadow, Daryl Palumbo and Daron Malakian of System of a Down, among others.
