Continuing a streak of accolades, Green Day managed to score six trophies at the 2005 Billboard Music Awards. The band won pop group, Billboard 200 album group, Hot 100 group and modern rock artist of the year awards. Bandleader Billie Joe Armstrong was additionally charged with presenting the Century Award to Tom Petty.

The string of wins follows others including the Grammy's, MTV Europe, Radio Music and others, all for their 2004 release American Idiot.

The band recently issued their live DVD, Bullet in a Bible.

They also became part of an select group of artists who've charted with five singles simultaneously. The other two are R.E.M. with Automatic for the People and Monster and Linkin Park with Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
