Some January screenings have been lined up for the post-apocalyptic punk rock puppet film Live Freaky! Die Freaky!. The screenings immediately precede the film's release on DVD on January 31st. The midnight screenings will take place on January 27th and 28th with locations expected shortly. The DVD will be released via Hellcat Films.

The "plot" of the film, which was first announced in 2003 is described as:

It is the year 3069 and the Earth has been robbed of all its natural resources, destroyed by war and ozone depletion, and is now only a barren desert. The humans who inhabit this empty vessel search not only for food but for a god to save them. Their search will soon be over when Charles Manson returnes to save them.

The film was produced by Rancid's Tim Armstrong and written / directed by John Roecker. It features the vocal talents of Rancid members Tim Armstrong, Matt Freeman, Las Frederiksen and Brett Reed, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Tiger Army's Nick 13, X's John Doe, the Transplants' Travis Barker and Skinhead Rob, AFI's Davey Havok, The Vandals' Warren Fitzgerald and Josh Freese, The Lunachicks' Theo Kogan, and The Go-Go's Jane Wiedlin among others.

The DVD release will include a full soundtrack album with performances by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and the Go-Go's Jane Wiedlin. Music by Tim Armstrong and Roddy Bottom, audio Commentary with John Roecker, Billie Joe Armstrong and Jane Wiedlin and a number of other extra features.
