The One AM Radio has ceased using their band name, with mainstay Hrishikesh Hirway to instead continue performing under his own proper name. Hirway mentions about the change:

The name 'The One Am Radio' represents to me a time in my life that is over; even though it was basically synonomous, conceptually, with me, names have a power and an identity of their own, and I feel like I'm finished with my use for a pseudonym.

The artist released a remix album, On the Shore of the Wide World, earlier this year via Level Plane.
