Morrissey has announced the tracklisting and release date for his upcoming album Ringleader of the Tormentors. The album will be in stores on April 4th via Sanctuary Records and is his eighth solo album.

It was promised earlier that the album would be a "balls-to-the-wall rock record". The album was recorded in Rome and produced by Tony Visconti, who has been behind the nobs for epic album from T. Rex and David Bowie. The album includes a string arrangement on the track "Dear God Please Help Me" written by composer Ennio Morricone (Kill Bill, Ramones Raw, Lolita).

Morrissey has had a long career in music, starting with his involvement with the UK New York Dolls fanclub, the band which he successfully urged to reunite in 2004. He went on to be the vocalist for influential band The Smiths. After the Smiths broke up in 1987, he launched his solo career, from which came his 2004 album You Are the Quarry.
