Dirtnap has posted some recording updates as well as some new music for some of their bands.

The first comes from transcontinental punk act High Tension Wires. The band will be playing some Texas dates as well as recording their upcoming full length later this month. The dates are especially unique since the band members are currently split between Texas and Japan. The group, which features members of The Marked Men and the Riverboat Gamblers, released Send A Message in 2005.

Labelmates The Charming Snakes entered the studio this week to begin work on their second full length and follow up to last year's Ammunition. After wrapping that up, they will begin touring in March with a stop at SXSW also expected.

Finally, the label has posted a new track from The Returnables. That band will be releasing their final full length on March 21st, 2006 and you can check out "What Would Mother Say?" in the meantime. The release will be a benefit for member the John Glick Memorial Fund and will be comprised of four new studio tracks from March `05 and three live recordings from last June. Returnables guitarist John Glick was killed in the same car accident that claimed the lives of Doug Meis, drummer for Exo and the Dials, and Silkworm drummer Michael Dahlquist.
