SXSW has announced that seminal melodic hardcore outfit Lifetime will play at the festival as a benefit for Shirts for a Cure.

Joining the band will be Head Automatica, Circa Survive and an unannounced "very special guest," and will take place at Emo's in Austin, TX.

The highly influential New Jersey-based band had decided late last year to continue playing shows, including a forthcoming West Coast swing, after announcing a set at the eventually cancelled Hellfest and subsequently playing several shows in the area. Jade Tree also recently announced plans for Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey, a 2-disc set featuring the original tracks from the band's first full-length, Background, as well as a remixing of that record and additional singles, compilation tracks, covers, and demos.
