After 7 years of existence, Union Label Group act the New City Gamblers (formerly The Gamblers) have broken up. The decision was made after a long period of low activity.

The band released an EP album in 2000 followed by their 2003 LP Have you ever thought… on Montreal's Stomp Records.

5 of the 8 former members have formed a new band called The New Cities. They're currently recording a self-titled EP album with an expected release date of March 2006.
