Thorp Records has announced the launch of Sailor's Grave Records. The new label will focus on street punk, Oi!, psychobilly and "bad-ass American rock 'n' roll" with upcoming releases from bands like U.S. Bombs, the Ducky Boys, Mad Sin, the Kings of Nuthin', Bombshell Rocks, Angel City Outcasts, Mark Lind, the Welch Boys, the Generators, Far From Finished and Born to Lose. The press release describes the imprint as:

[A] brand created to give birth to the soundtracks of life as lived by those with black eyes, bad luck, and bad tattoos. Shunning the bubble-gum veneer of emo and pop punk, the crew of bands that have found a wayward home on the Sailor's Grave Records roster carry a bad-ass swagger that the punks of yesteryear pioneered.

The creation of new label will also allow Thorp to shift its focus to heavier music, building a roster of hardcore and metal acts. Further updates regarding upcoming records and MP3 releases are coming later this week.
