Mike Park, president of the The Plea For Peace charity organization has announced that work has begun on the Plea for Peace Youth Center. Mike had this to say:

We are working on opening an arts space that will be open year round for kids. This center will provide youth an outlet to perform music, create art, dance, and talk to others of similiar interests. PLEA FOR PEACE is seeking the support of the community in the form of volunteered services, donations, promotion ideas, and general encouragement. Plea for Peace was founded by Mike Park of Asian Man Records, Skankin' Pickle, The Chinkees, the Bruce Lee Band and his own solo project. Since 1999, Mike has organized tours, compilations and most recently a charity bike ride under the Plea for Peace banner. The organizations goal, simply put, is to "promote the ideas of peace through the power of music."
