Frank Portman (Dr. Frank), of Bay Area pop-punkers The Mr. T Experience, is releasing his book King Dork on April 11th. The book is described as "a mystery, and a comedy of high school manners, but more than anything, it's a treasure trove of musical references and opinions."

The punk rocker turned author will be celebrating with a release party, also on the 11th, at Cato's Ale House in Oakland, CA, from seven to nine at night. Portman will be performing that night as well, treating fans to renditions of both MTX songs as well as songs from the fictional band featured in King Dork.

The author will also be performing live on KALX this Saturday, the 25th, playing acoustically and giving an interview.
