: After just finishing their first US Tour with the River City Rebels, Boston punkers Darkbuster have decided to part ways. He is a message from the band: "We don't want to make a big deal out of this, but July 28th is going to be our last show. We weren't even sure we wanted to announce it, but we owe it to … Anyhow, there is no specific reason why we are ending it. I wish there was in a way. A good war story about how we went out for the month of June and ended up fighting every night is a nice easy explanation, but the truth of the matter is we got along great(tour diary upon site soon). If it weren't for van troubles it may have been smooth sailing. It's just time to go. So we got one more night and we want it to be as fun as all the others if not more fun…Cheers." "Darkbuster was the best straight up punk band in the world to me and my pals here in western New York. They came and played a party for us which took them a few 100 miles out of their tour. The party got busted and the whole thing was fucked. They acted so cool about it, and even played a song or two for us before the cops came back. "22 Songs You Will Never Want To Hear Again" really is the best punk album of the 1990's. I am not kidding about this and if anyone thinks that is bullshit, give it a good listen and you will realize the genius of this band. If things could have been different, this band would be sitting on top of the world as we speak. I am really sad about this news and hope that it is not true. Darkbuster represented everyone who is sick of the shit and would rather have a beer then worry about all the fucked up BS that goes on this world. I really understood the pain in songs like 'Hometown Zero' and 'Cheap Wine & Cigarettes'. Darkbuster is right up there with Bad Religion, Gorilla Biscuits, The Descendents, and The Misfits in my mind as a classic, uncomparable punk band. All I can say is what a fucking shame." - Kip
