Relapse has signed Birds of Prey. The band is a studio project featureing members of Alabama Thuderpussy, Burnt By the Sun/Municipal Waste, Baroness, and Beaten Back to Pure.

The band recorded at Karma Productions studio in Richmond, VA with Cory Smoot (aka Flatus Maximus of GWAR) this past December to record their debut, Weight of the Wound.

The album is expected in July 2006.
