In a bit of a departure from their metal/grind/hardcore sound, Relapse has signed comedian Brian Posehn and will release his debut stand-up CD Live In: Nerd Rage internationally.

The comedian has appeared on Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Me, Run Ronnie Run, The Wedding Singer and The Devil's Reject and is also part of the writing/creative team for Mr.Show.

The Nerd Rage is described as:

the hilarious observations of a self-professed nerd and life-long fan of heavy metal. At times personal, nasty, dry, and absurd but always funny, Brian muses on being a teenage heavy metal fan, marriage, his dog Ernie, high-school reunions, body 'parts' and getting revenge on childhood tormentors.

The disc also includes two musical tracks from Brian's band which includes members of Anthrax/SOD, Fates Warning, The Cult and Shadows Fall. It is due out July 11th, 2006 in North America with an international release in August.
