An American release date and additional details have been announced for the upcoming reissues of classic recordings from art-punk act Wire. The reissues were released this past February and included 1976's Pink Flag, 1977's Chairs Missing and 1979's 154.

The American releases will be, like the British ones, only remastered and no bonus material will be added, however, a special limited box set of the "trilogy" will also be made available. Titled Wire: 1977 >1979, the set will include all three albums, remastered, as well as two live albums Live at The Roxy, London - April 1st & 2nd 1977 and Live at CBGB Theatre, New York - July 18th 1978.

The CDs themselves will be packaged in mini-vinyl sleeves and include a 60 page booklet containing sleeve-notes and photos for all 5 albums. The package is due out the week of April 24th.

The single disc reissues are expected around the same time. The releases are only scheduled for UK/Europe currently, though 1994-era reissues of all three records are available in North America.
