This week at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City the film Too Tough To Die: A Tribute To Johnny Ramone will premier. The Mandy Stein directed film chronicles Johnny's 30th Anniversary tribute to the Ramones, a concert with numerous guests that took place at the Avalon in Hollywood on September 12th, 2004 (two and half days before Johnny's death) . Performers at the concert included the Sex Pistols' Steve Jones, Henry Rollins, members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Pete Yorn, Ramones members Tommy, Marky and C.J., Brett Gurewitz, Tim Armstrong, Dickie Barrett and Mark Hoppus among others. Too Tough To Die screens for the press tomorrow at the Tribeca Grand and will premier at the Loews Village 7 on Wednesday. The trailer can be viewed at the Tribeca website.

Johnny Ramone passed away in 2004 after losing a battle with prostate cancer. The Ramones released their debut self-titled full length 30 years ago this week on April 23, 1976.
