Lawrence, Kansas's The Esoteric have begun work on their second album for Prosthetic. Titled Subverter, the band will begin recording on May 8th, 2006 at Black Lodge Recording in Eudora, KS at the Black Lodge Recording Studio in Eudora, KS as well as a "undisclosed location" with producer Paul Malinowski.

The album will be the follow up to their full length debut With the Sureness of Sleepwalking and some song titles include "Science Is Sexy", "Our Exquisite Corpse", "Clone Culture and the Cut-Up Method", "Destroy, She Said", "Nothing Remains the Same", "We Will Not Be Convinced That Now Is Not Our Time", "Don't Waste Guts", and "You Are the Execution".
