Brazilian pop-punk band The Invisibles have called it a day. While the announcement came last month in Portuguese, they just recently posted an explanation in English.

Yes guys, after 10 years dedicating our lives to this band, we've decided it's time to call it a day. Doing this for so long was the most amazing experience in our lives, but we hadn't been on the same page for a while and we decided it was time to give ourselves the chance of a brand new start.

The band is still planning to release their Hollywood EP on May 10th, which will be a limited run of 500 copies and are contributing a track to the upcoming Pegboy tribute album. You can preview "Sugar High" from the EP at the band's Myspace page, the rough mix of which found it's way onto one Punknews.org Best of 2005 Mixtapes. They will also be doing a final farewell tour ending on May 27th.

The band released their sophomore LP Fireworks in 2004.
