Rise Against have unveiled the cover art for their upcoming July 4th, 2006 release The Sufferer & The Witness. The album was originally set for July 11th but has apparently been pushed up a week. The album is the follow up to 2004's Siren Song of the Counter Culture which was followed by a reissue of their 2001 debut, The Unravelling.

The band will be playing five "exclusive" and sold out shows in LA this May. Beginning May 16th the band will be performing at the Troubadour with Strike Anywhere and a rotating opening band. Bands occupying the rotating opening slot include Authority Zero, Love Equals Death and The Blackout Pact.
